It seems the Pope has some thoughts on the matter as well.
According to him, neither Mormons or Protestants are right. Not that it’s any surprise.

The pope has more courage and clarity of mind than those involved in the sentimental ECT (Evangelical & Catholics Together) pact.

Whereas the conservative pope is calling for clear Catholic distinctives, some segments of evangelicalism have lost their clear distinction, attracted to Rome.
